Power Tiger

The Power Tiger surfboard, developed with John John Florence, is designed to bridge the performance gap between the Red Tiger and Ghost models, making it ideal for larger, more powerful waves. While the Red Tiger excels in smaller, weaker surf, the Power Tiger is built for when conditions start to step up in size and intensity.

Key design updates include a pulled-in nose and tail, adding more curve to the outline for better maneuverability and responsiveness. The narrower tail improves control at high speeds, allowing for more stability through powerful turns without sliding out. The pulled-in nose helps the board fit into hollow, cupped-out waves, making it easier to navigate critical sections.

Additionally, the thinner rails allow for deeper rail engagement in fast, powerful waves, allowing smoother carves and better hold in barrels. A subtle yet significant tweak to the bottom rocker - with an added ⅛” of curve in the last 18” of the tail - increases looseness while improving hold through turns.

For best results, the Power Tiger should be ridden when the Red Tiger starts to feel too small. We recommend sticking to the same length as your Red Tiger but with slightly less volume, or opting for an inch longer and a narrower width. Stock dimensions are ¼” narrower and 1/16” thinner than the Red Tiger at equivalent lengths.
